Ready, Set, Eat!
What a delicious and filling day! Literally filling, I had to unbutton my jeans on the drive back to Prescott. Mom and I headed to The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale to volunteer at the Arizona Beef Council booth for the 13th annual Phoenix Cooks. This event is a foodies paradise which also benefits the Arizona Special Olympics.
One of the major perks of volunteering with the Arizona Beef Council is touring the convention. Winding your way through vendors snagging every appealing snack from seared beef slices on a buttery croissant to craft beer from Four Peaks Brewing. Tour the exhibit meeting other foodies and hearing from executive chefs. I highly recommend adding this to your 2018 to-dos if you love exploring restaurants, wineries and breweries located in Arizona. Beef dishes were showcased at several booths including Bourbon & Bones - Chophouse & Bar located in Scottsdale, Arizona & The Green House - inspired California cuisine.

If you stopped by the Arizona Beef Council booth you’d be greeted by our Arizona Beef ambassadors and given a apricot glazed meatball. I might be bias but our meatballs were the tastiest. With football season here these will be a touchdown for your guests tastebuds. Plus – SUPER easy, can’t ask for much more when you want to relax with friends. The recipe is posted below - let me know if you try it out!
Over 1,000 beef meatballs were made and served to beef lovers. A fun event to showcase unique meals and beverages. To top it off the event benefits a great cause the Arizona Special Olympics. Needless to say I am marking this event on my calendar for next year. How can anyone resist delicious food & drinks?!
Until, next time may your day be filled with yummy food (like mine was), Grace & precious moments.
